I have been having problems with Feedburner's MyBrand option on Wikidot. It works sporadically but there are still some problems. My belief is that every time there was a new blog post, the RSS feed blew up. Yes, blew up is a technical term. Lots of computer scientists know when lines of code explode.

I decided to raise awareness of the excellent goal of updating or recreating textures for popular N64 games. Since the N64 had the best games of my generation (no SNES for me), they deserve a little HD treatment. I mean, who wouldn't want to play Perfect Dark in 720p or The Legend of Zelda? Emulators can already render N64 games at 1280x720 but they won't look very good in their native resolution.

There is a new section of BVGB called Movie Gamers as you can see by the new tab at the top. This section is dedicated to gamers who love watching movies and is a place for movie reviews. Movie Gamers is separate from Media Gamer because Media Gamer is focused on video games and media that could be indirectly related to video games. Movie Gamers is only focused on movies that directors make and release in movie theaters or straight to DVD.

To begin with, Watchmen is a great superhero movie. It’s entertaining, and it would be a great summer blockbuster if it were during the summer. But it’s not. And it’s not supposed to be a superhero movie.

This video is a collection of my favorite clips from the theaters of Yoot Tower. Note: I DO NOT recommend watching it in HD because of the source material being low quality to begin with. Most of the video segments are very cheesy and thus deserve their place on the Internet. For anyone who experienced these clips in the game, you know how addictive they become to break up the tedium of building facilities. (Da da daaaaa, random duck!!)

Background: Yoot Tower is the sequel to the hit Sim Tower and expands upon the foundation in many excellent ways. Sequels are expected to perform at a higher level than their successors due to the basic framework being already present from the first game. Yoot Tower updates the classic formula and makes it more complex, mostly in a good way. It offers three different locations to build your tower, or underground tower. I’ve played on all on them in the past and got close to reaching Tower status on each.

Here is what Smash Brothers Brawl looks like at 720p when emulated on a computer. Notice that I embedded the HD version as the default so you are experiencing the highest resolution without doing anything. YouTube is most likely not capturing the beauty that is raw 720p footage. I've embeded the YouTube HD video that has become popular (it isn't mine) but it most likely doesn't reflect a true 1280 x 720p movie. Go fullscreen to get the best picture:

I like cartoony and stylized, so naturally I was excited when battlefield heroes was announced. Similarly to Team Fortress 2 this game successfully pairs cartoony slapstick action with exploding gore to the delight of many. With the added feature that this is a free to play game and the developers earning their income through ad sales and the sale of in game clothing options. This aspect added a bit of skepticism to how successful this game would be, however I can say that there is nothing to be skeptical about and Dice brings it all the way through.
